From RegenPGC Project Director Raj Raman on the passing of Ray Gaesser.
Friends — by now, most of you involved in Iowa agriculture will have heard about the tragic passing of Ray Gaesser this past Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026.
Ray was an active member of RegenPGC’s stakeholder advisory board, having a lifelong dedication to soil and water conservation and what seemed like endless energy to help others working on that cause. He was unfailingly kind, thoughtful, practical, and engaged. As such, his loss leaves a huge gap in our project and hearts.
I know everyone on the RegenPGC team is wishing strength to his family, for whom this loss cuts even deeper.
