Overview

Our focus is on evaluating the market, social, and policy conditions under which perennial ground cover (PGC) approaches are economically sustainable for farmers and input suppliers, and other participants in the envisioned supply and value chains.

Goals

RESEARCH GOALS

  • Evaluate the economic comparability and feasibility of PGC systems for maize and soybean producers under varying market and production conditions.
  • Evaluate the market and aggregate welfare effects of PGC approaches.
  • Identify the socioeconomic barriers and potential facilitators to PGC adoption.
  • Explore the role of input supply agribusinesses in the PGC supply chain.
